Kent Zhu has joined Accor as Chief Executive Officer for Greater China, overseeing the Luxury & Lifestyle and the Premium, Midscale & Economy brands divisions across the region. Prior to joining the group, Kent was President of Genting Cruise Lines, successfully guiding the company to its position as one of the leading players in the APAC cruise market.
Malmaison and Hotel du Vin have announced several key leadership appointments including; Stephanie Pinto as Director of Sales, joining from Aimbridge Hospitality. Annie Stevenson takes the role of Digital & Marketing Director, having previously worked with Asda, TikTok and Thomas Cook. And Jade Watts has been promoted to Director of Revenue, Distribution & Reservations.
Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen has joined Mayfair’s Beaumont Hotel as the new Culinary Director with plans to open a new restaurant at the venue later this year. Lisa was the longstanding chef of Michelin-starred Lancashire restaurant Northcote where she has spent the last 23 years.
Dorint Hotel Group appoints Jens Schmitz as the new Vice President of Marketing, with oversight of the marketing efforts for the group’s three brands; Dorint Hotels & Resorts, Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection, and Essential by Dorint. Jens joins from s.Oliver Group where he held the role of Head of Media.
Remington Hospitality has announced the appointment of Ryan Matlock as Divisional Vice President, Operations. He most recently served as Regional Vice President, Operations for Aimbridge Hospitality where he has been for the past 11 years.
Accor has appointed Zara Singh as Director of Revenue, India & South Asia, leading the brand’s revenue management and distribution strategy across the region. Zara has strong experience in the industry with prior leadership roles at The Oberoi Group, Marriott, IHG and Hilton,
Ruwani Weerasinghe joins La Vie Hotels and Resorts as Director of Asset Management & Acquisitions. She has most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Asset Management at Frasers Hospitality.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has announced the appointment of Stephanie Seghers-Narvaez as Director, Charters & Incentives. She previously served as Strategic Accounts Manager for the Western US and Canada.
Luxury Boston hotel; Hotel Commonwealth has appointed Shane McWeeny as General Manager. Shane returns to the hotel to lead the property following his earlier tenure as Director of Operations, and most recently served as General Manager at Boston, Park Plaza.
Frank de Kruijf has been named as the new Director of Operations for The Sheraton, Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh. Frank joins from The Caledonian, Edinburgh where he held the role of Rooms Division Manager.
Ashish Pathak has joined the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai as the new Director of Food & Beverage. Ashish was most recently in the role of Assistant Director of Food & Beverage for the pre-opening team of Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
Bob Wong has joined Four Seasons Resort and Residences, Whistler , as the new Commercial Director. Bob’s previous tenure was with The St Regis, Toronto as Director of Sales & Marketing.
The Langham, Gold Coast has named Stacey Plaine as the new Director of Marketing & Communications. She joins from W, Brisbane where she held the role of Director of Marketing.
Ortigas Hotel Group has appointed Alie Sison as the new Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria and Holiday Inn & Suites Manila Galleria. She previously held the same role with Swissotel.
Garry Perotin has been named as the new Complex Director of Leisure Sales for Hilton, Los Cabos and the Riviera Nayarit’s Conrad, Punta de Mita . Garry was most recently in the role as Director of Leisure Sales for Conrad, Orlando.
