Christine Hodgson has been appointed as Chair of Whitbread with effect from 1 September 2025 replacing Adam Crozier who will retire from the board. Christine is currently Chair of Severn Trent and previously held several senior roles at the global technology and outsourcing company Capgemini.
Seasoned hospitality leader Neil Gallagher has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Soneva , the luxury resorts operator. This follows the announcement that a KSL Capital Partners affiliate has taken a majority interest in the Soneva Group. Neil was most recently the CEO of Clermont Hotel Group.
Rob Katz steps back into the role of Chief Executive Officer for mountain resorts company Vail Resorts replacing Kirsten Lynch. Katz will remain in his position as the Executive Chairman of the board in addition to returning as CEO.
Hotel Seville NoMad in NewYork, an Unbound Collection by Hyatt has appointed Tommasi Moccia as General Manager. Before joining Hotel Seville NoMad, he led the rebranding and reopening of Hyatt Grand Central New York.
Elegant Hotel Collection has appointed Alice Matulessy to the role of Vice President Business Development for Asia Pacific. Alice previously worked at Padma and Discovery Hotels, and will join to lead membership expansion in the region.
Samir Messaoudi has been appointed as the new General Manager for the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat . He brings more than two decades of Marriott experience and a track record across the U.S. and GCC.
Henry Jordan has been appointed as Cluster Director of Culinary for InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay and Kimpton Dubai. Chef Henry’s previous experience includes Aman Resorts, Six Senses, W Hotels and Lux Resorts.
Nidhi Berry has been appointed as the new Commercial Director for Four Seasons Hotel Bengaluru . Berry has been promoted from her previous role as Director of Revenue Management and Yield with the property.
Luxury hospitality group The Set has appointed Kirk McDonald as its new Director of Sales for the Middle East. McDonald brings more than a decade of experience in luxury hospitality, most recently working at Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
Rhiannon Callaghan has been appointed as the new Multi-Property Director of Marketing & PR for Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf , Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf, and Marriott Executive Apartments Dubai Creek. Previously, Rhiannon was the Marketing & Communications Manager at W Muscat.
Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek has appointed Jay Williams as its new Culinary Director. Jay was formerly part of the team at Sofitel Dubai Downtown where he served as Culinary Director.
