Accor has named Ranju Alex  as Chief Executive Officer for South Asia, with responsibility for driving growth across the region covering India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Until recently she has held the role of Regional Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International, overseeing over 170 hotels in the region.

Marriott International has appointed Sharmeel Sharma  as Managing Director of the Marriott Tech Accelerator, the Global Capability Centre of the group, responsible for steering the digital transformation and innovation strategy across global operations. He most recently served as GCC and Business Transformation Consultant at QRATER.

Mandarin Oriental has appointed Emlyn Brown  as Group Director of Spa, Leisure & Wellness. Emlyn joins from Accor where he has been for the past seven years, leading global wellbeing strategy, design and development across the group’s luxury and lifestyle brands.

Gina Genna has been promoted to the role of Senior Area Director of Marketing for Luxury & Lifestyle Americas at InterContinental Hotel Group  . Gina has held the role of Director of Marketing for InterContinental, Miami for the past five years.

Aimbridge Hospitality has announced the appointment of Chris O’Donnell  as President, Select-Service Division. He brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having previously held senior positions with Magna Hospitality, White Lodging and Marriott International. Most recently he held the role of COO as Atrium Hospitality.

Jonathan Lallemand has been announced as the new Managing Director for Rosewood, Luang Prabang  in Laos. He brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to the role, most recently serving at Regent Bali Canggu as Resort Manager.

Marriott International has announced several General Manager appointments in Australia with Steve Molnar taking the role of Multi Property General Manager for Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands and AC Hotel Melbourne Southbank. Since 2014 he has overseen the refurbishment and repositioning of Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas. Jai Leighton  has been appointed General Manager for Le Meridien, Melbourne. He has been with the group since 2020, joining as Director of Operations to launch the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa in New Zealand, the first property under the JW Marriott brand in the region.

The Ned, Doha has announced two leadership appointments to the marketing team; Abdullah Al Atari has joined as Director of Sales & Marketing, bringing over 14 years of experience in driving sales and strategy for several world-renowned hotel brands. And Raja Ben Naceur  has taken the role of Director of Marketing & Communications. She has worked with luxury hotel brands across the Maldives, EMEA and Qatar over the past ten years.
