Wales’ largest independent hotel group, The Celtic Collection, has announced the appointment of Julie Hammond as the new Chief Executive Officer. Julie has held senior leadership roles for L+R Hotels, and Ralph Trustees Ltd, owner of London’s Athenaeum and The Grove in Hertfordshire.
Valerio Duchini has been promoted by B&B Hotels to Chief Executive Officer for Western Europe. He has been with the group since 2009 and over the past two years has been responsible for B&B in the United States, opening the group’s first three American hotels.
Magdy Abdelaty has been announced as the new pre-opening Wellness Director for The Chancery, Rosewood, due to open in the summer in London. Magdy has previously worked with global hospitality companies including Fairmont, Corinthia and Four Seasons, and joins from the Peninsula Hotel where he held the role of Director of Spa & Wellness.
Eric Churchill has been promoted by Meyer Jabara Hotels, now taking the role of Chief Operating Officer from his previous position as Senior Vice President of Operations.
The Kessler Collection has announced the appointment of Brian McCormick as Vice President, People & Culture. Brian has more than 20 years’ experience working with luxury hotel brands, and prior to joining The Kessler Collection, was VP, Human Resources at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado.
Marco Di Pasquale has been named as the new Hotel Manager for The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua, Bali. Marco joins from Conrad, Manila where he held the role of Director of Operations.
Rosewood, Le Guanahani St Barth has announced the appointment of Thibaut Asso as Resort Manager. Thibaut returns to the resort after holding the role as Director of Sales & Marketing from 2020 – 2023.
Himank Sharma has taken the role of Food & Beverage Director at the St Regis, Abu Dhabi. He previously held the same role at the St Regis, Astana.
Meluha The Fern – An Ecotel Hotel has appointed Clint Rodrigues as the new Director of Food & Beverage and Ameet Wagh as Director of Sales & Marketing. Prior to joining Meluha, Clint was with the Park Inn by Radisson in the UK and has previously worked with IHG and JW Marriott. Ameet was most recently VP, Sales & Marketing for Fidato Hotels.
Tarik Rahali is named as the new Cluster Director of Revenue Strategy for Al Habtoor Resort, Autograph Collection. Tarik most recently served as Cluster Director of Revenue for Jewel of the Creek Hotels, which includes the Marriott, Marquis Dubai and Hilton, Dubai Creek Hotel & Residences.
