Minor Hotels Europe & Americas has announced the promotion of Carla Amado to the role of Regional Managing Director for Mexico & the Caribbean. She joined the group in 2007 as Head of Reception and has held a number of roles, most recently serving as Operations Director for Chile & PMO Americas.
Sujan Ganguly has joined Cygnett Hotels & Resorts as Area Director, Operations & Pre-Opening, India & Nepal. Sujan brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously held leadership positions with brands including Ginger Hotels, Royal Orchid Hotels, Taj Hotels and Sarovar Hotels.
The Ritz-Carlton, Maldives, Fari Islands has welcomed Frédéric Marti as the new Resort Manager and João Miguel Pais as Director of Food & Beverage. Frédéric’s career includes roles with Four Seasons Bahrain and 45 Park Lane, Dorchester Collection. Most recently based in Spain, João previously led F&B operations for Four Seasons, Madrid.
Il Salviatino, Florence has announced two key leadership appointments; Joao Mendes de Almeida as the new General Manager and Stephanie Loison as Director of Operations. Both are joining from Skywalker Properties, the portfolio of filmmaker George Lucas.
Christina Grasso has taken the role of General Manager for Kimpton Margot, Sydney . She joins from The Star Entertainment Group where she most recently held the role of General Manager of Hotels, Events & Guest Experience.
Obay Bahri has been named as the new General Manager for The Porter House Hotel, Sydney, part of the MGallery Hotel Collection . He previously held the role of Hotel Manager for QT, Sydney.
Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Said Nuri as Director of Food & Beverage. Said most recently led food and beverage operations for Kalahari Resorts & Conventions.
Igor Bornosus has been named as the new Director of Operations for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach , the largest Ritz-Carlton Residences in the brand’s global portfolio. He joins from The Westin, Maui where he held the role of Director of Restaurants.
Marriott International has announced the appointment of Jyotirmoy Kalita as the new Director of Human Resources for the Renaissance, Goa Hotel. Jyotirmoy joined the group in 2016 and has held a variety of HR roles across the brand’s portfolio.
