Stéphane Maquaire has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer for Club Med . Stephane brings extensive leadership experience from prominent French and international companies, and joins from Carrefour where he held the role of Executive Director for Carrefour Brazil and Latin America. He takes over from Henri Giscard d’Estaing who is stepping down after more than 20 years with the company.
Accor has announced the appointment of Raki Phillips as Regional President for Middle East, Africa & Turkey. Raki most recently held the role of CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and is widely regarded as one of the most influential tourism leaders in the region.
Accor has appointed Rachael Nicholson as Director, Commercial for New Zealand & Fiji. Rachael joins from her previous role as Group General Manager of Operations and Heritage Hotel Management.
Edward Bracken has taken the role of General Manager at the Athenaeum Hotel & Residences in London’s Mayfair. Edward has a 20-year career in hospitality, working at London hotels including Dixon Tower Bridge, Lost Property St Paul’s London and Marriott Kensington the Gore.
Newcastle-based Cairn Hotel Group has announced two key leadership promotions with Sarah Powell-Abrams taking the role of Director of Marketing following four years as Head of Marketing. And Clare Hughes takes the role of Director of Sales after six years with the group.
Radisson has named Quintus Swart as Director of Operations for Nofa Riyadh, a luxury Radisson Collection Resort. He brings over 25 years of experience to the role with globally recognised brands including Southern Sun and Starwood.
Hilton announces the appointment of Kimberley Roberts as Marketing Communications Director for Hilton, Doha The Pearl. Most recently, she played a key role in launching the Mondrian lifestyle brand on Australia’s Gold Coast, part of the Accor group.
Ryan Planski has joined Hyatt as Director of Sales & Marketing for The Chatwal, New York , part of the group’s Unbound Collection. Ryan previously held the same role with the Renaissance, New York Chelsea.
Marriott International has promoted Krijith Krishnankutty to the role of Multi-property Director of Operations for Marriott Hotel, Al Jaddaf, Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf, and Marriott Executive Apartments, Dubai Creek. Krijith brings over 20 years of hospitality experience across India, Qatar and the UAE to his new role, most recently serving as Task Force Director of Operations for Marriott Hotel, Al Jaddaf and Marriott Executive Apartments, Al Jaddaf.
