Nicolai Scheugenpflug has joined Dorint as Director of Corporate F&B covering all three of the group’s brands; Dorint Hotels & Resorts, Hommage Luxury Hotels Collection and Essential by Dorint. Nicolai brings extensive experience to the role, having previously held leadership positions at Meatery, Seaside Group and Lido Gastronomie.
Jeremy McCarthy has announced his departure from Mandarin Oriental at the end of the month after holding the role of Group Director of Leisure, Spa and Wellness for over 11 years. He originally joined the group in 2014 as Group Director of Spa before his role expanded to include his current remit.
The Langham Hospitality Group has welcomed Rico Picenoni to the newly created role of Global Head of Residential. Rico previously lead the branded residential consultancy team at Savills from the London Headquarters and prior to that, oversaw residential and extended-stay development across the Middle East and Africa at Accor.
Four Seasons Yacht Collection has announced the appointment of Captain Duncan Holroyd to the senior leadership team for the Four Seasons I, due to make its maiden voyage in March next year. Most recently, Captain Holroyd oversaw US Fleet operations for Lindblad Expeditions.
Luxury hotel group the Dorchester Collection has announced the appointment of Amy Turner as Global Director of Marketing. She joins from TWG Global where she held the role of Marketing Director.
Kate Bain has joined Aperture Hotels as Vice President, Commercial Strategy. She brings over 20 years of experience to the role, most recently serving as Area Director of Sales for InterMountain Management where she was responsible for commercial performance at a collection of Marriott properties.
Hospitality Ventures Management Group has appointed Drew Slayton as Vice President of Business Development. Drew joins from Crescent Hotels and Resorts where he has been serving as Director of Business Development & Investment Analysis.
Swire Hotels has announced three key senior leadership appointments; Mark Passmore has been promoted to the role of Head of Operations for the group. Simon McHendry has taken the role of General Manager for The Upper House. And Kristina Snaith-Lense has been appointed General Manager for the new House Collective Property due to open in Shenzhen in 2027.
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced several key leadership appointments ahead of the opening of Thailand’s first voco hotel. Walid Ouzeni has been appointed General Manager. Wipusana Sriwieng has taken the role of Director of Sales & Marketing. And Patthira Weir has been appointed Director of Marketing Communications.
Ahmed Gaafer has been promoted to the role of Hotel Manager for Fairmont, Ajman . He has been at the property since 2021, joining as Director of Operations.
Ben Foster has been named the new Director of Marketing for W, London . He joins from the group’s St Regis Hotels & Resorts brands where he served as Director of Marketing, Multi-Property.
Atlantis, Dubai has promoted Dean Walsh to the role of Executive Director of Sales, responsible for leading market growth for both Atlantis, The Palm and Atlantis, The Royal. Dean has been with the resort since 2023, holding the role of Director of Sales.
Marriott has announced the promotion of Mariam Aziz to the role of Complex Director of Events, overseeing five Marriott properties including the flagship Le Meridien, Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Aloft, Dubai Airport, Element, Dubai Airport, Aloft, Al Mina and Element, Al Mina. Mariam was previously serving as Complex Senior Manager, Groups and Events.
