Kevin Rockey has joined Zetter Hotels in the newly created role of Area General Manager, responsible for the launch of the 68-room Zetter, Bloomsbury, due to open in January 2026. Kevin has 25 years’ experience in the luxury hotel industry, most recently serving as Head of Operations for Northern and Eastern Regions and Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Hoxton Hotels at Ennismore.
Rosewood Hotel Group has announced two key leadership appointments with Anthony Ingham taking the role of Chief Operating Officer, joining from the Hong Kong Jockey Club. And Luca Finardi being promoted to Vice President of Operations for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Caribbean Atlantic from his previous role as General Manager for Mandarin Oriental, Paris and Area Vice President of Operations for France, Italy and the Czech Republic.
Anita Chan has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Asia Pacific region for Elegant Hotel Collection . Anita has served as CEO for Compass Edge for the past decade and her previous experience includes senior executive roles with global brands including Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Emma Darby has been appointed to the newly created role of Global Vice President for Spa and Wellness at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts , assuming overall responsibility for spa and wellness operations across the portfolio of 93 properties. Emma’s previous 12 year tenure was with spa operations consultancy, Resense.
Rotana has appointed Khaled Al Jamal as Area Vice President, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain & Jordan. Khaled brings over 37 years of hospitality experience to the role, most recently serving as General Manager or JW Marriott, Riyadh and Chair of Marriott’s Business Council for KSA, overseeing cross-brand collaboration and market initiatives.
Nicholas Smith has joined Minor Hotels as Vice President of Operations for Asia, with a focus on Malaysia to accelerate growth in the region. Nicholas previously served as Executive Director and General Manager at Sindalah Island, NEOM’s first luxury island and yacht club.
Accor has announced the appointment of Shareena Ali as Vice President of PR & Communications for Premium, Midscale & Economy division across MEA APAC region. Prior to joining Accor, Shareena was a Senior Consultant with Burson Global.
airbnb has announced a number of key appointments in Australia as the brand relaunches its Experiences platform globally. Kevin Looney has been appointed Supply Lead, APAC, Acquisition – Experiences and has been joined by Georgia Gregorson , previously Managing Partner at GTI Tourism; Sally McFadyen , previously Director of Corporate Partnerships for Big Red Group; and Julien Coste , former Head of Commercial at Rome2Rio.
Shangri-La Group announces the promotion of Debanjan Kundu to the role of Assistant Vice President of Sales, GSO India from his previous role as Director of Sales & Marketing for Shangri-La, Bengaluru where he has been for the past year.
Sebastien Dental has been promoted by Rosewood Hotels and Resorts to the role of Managing Director for Las Ventanas al Paraiso, A Rosewood Resort. Sebastien joined the Mexican resort as Director of Food & Beverage and was promoted to Resort Manager in 2022.
Jumeirah Group has announced the promotion of Alice Lightfoot to the role of Director of Spa and Fitness at Jumeirah, Carlton Tower in central London. She has held the role of Spa and Fitness Operations Manager since November 2023.
Marinette Giaquinta has joined Jumby Bay Island, part of the Oetker Collection , as Head of Sales & Marketing. She most recently served as Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Rosewood Hotels and Resorts.
Fatemah Abbas has been promoted to the role of Human Resources Director at InterContinental, Dubai Marina from her previous role of Human Resources Manager.
