Iconic Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Yasmin Boromand to the role of Group Director of People & Culture. Yasmin previously served as Global Director of Talent Acquisition & HR Strategy at Dream International where she led the People agenda for a portfolio of over 80 restuarants across 18 countries.
John Douglas has been promoted to the role of Area General Manager, Pacific Islands at Marriott International. He has been with the group for more than 26 years, most recently serving as Area General Director of Finance Operations for the ANZP region.
Kempinski has announced two key appointments to the global sales team with Edward Hobson appointed as the new Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Giuseppe Paturzo as Global Sales Director, Leisure. Edward brings over 25 years of hospitality experience to the role, most recently serving as Vice President of Sales & Marketing (international excluding China) for Langham Hotels & Resorts. Giuseppe has previously held leadership roles with brands including Leading Hotels of the World, Rocco Forte Hotels and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
Hyatt Hotels has appointed Geoffray Maugin as Vice President, Marketing & Loyalty for the EAME region. Geoffray brings over 25 years of experience to the role and has previously held leadership roles with international brands including Accor, LVMH and Coca-Cola.
Natalie Slavikova has joined Kerzner International in the newly created role of Global Director, MICE. She brings over 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality to the role, relocating from Prague where she served as Director of Sales for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts.
Tony Pallas has been promoted to the role of Chief Technology Officer at Choice Hotels International from his previous role as Chief Commercial & Technology Officer, Sky Touch. In his new role Tony will be leading enterprise technology, engineering and SkyTouch Technology – the group’s hotel operations and property management technology platform.
Starwood Hotels has named Max Zanardi as the new General Manager for Baccarat Hotel, Rome, set to open in Spring next year and the first Baccarat property outside of the brand’s flagship property in New York. Max brings over 30 years of experience to his new role and joins from BVLGARI Resort & Mansions, Bodrum.
Troo Hospitality has announced the promotion of Jessica Southworth to the role of Cluster Sales & Marketing Director at Stock Exchange Hotel, Manchester, Autograph Collection. Jessica has spent the last ten years with the group, previously serving as Sales & Marketing Director at Hotel Football.
The Galmont Hotel & Spa in the west of Ireland has announced several key leadership appointments including Antun Simunovic as Hotel Manager. Antun joins from Trim Castle Hotel where he held the role of General Manager. Ruairi Grealish has also been appointed as Food & Beverage Manager. Ruari began his career working his family business before gaining valuable experience in Swiss hotels.
Hilton has announced the appointment of Austin Pruett as General Manager of Martinique New York on Broadway, Curio Collection by Hilton. He joins the property from DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites, Jersey City where he also served as General Manager.
Kevin McAteer has joined Lodging Dynamics Hospitality Group as the new Corporate Director of Food & Beverage. He brings over ten years of experience to his new role, having worked with brands including Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt.
Pulkit Blaggan has joined OPO Hotels & Resorts as Director of Sales as the group continue to expand their presence across India. Pulkit has previously worked with hospitality and entertainment brands including ITC Hotels, Tivoli and Downtown Resorts.
