Joe Margison has been confirmed as the new Chief Executive Officer for Virgin Hotels Collection following his tenure as Interim CEO for the past seven months. Joe joined the Virgin Group in 2018 and prior to his interim appointment, held the role of Chief Commercial Officer for the group.
Grand Metropolitan Hotels has announced two new additions to the leadership team. Rahul Arora has taken the role of Chief Commercial & Digital Officer and Management Board Member. Rahul previously founded Digital Hotelier, a London-based hospitality technology firm. Jacques Oudinot has taken the role of Chief Executive Officer of Martinez Hotels. He most recently served as CEO for Voile D’Or Hotels.
Ali Keshavarz has been appointed to the Board of Directors as an independent director for Choice Hotels International. He currently serves as President & Chief Data & Analytics Officer of CVS Health and previously spent more than a decade with McKinsey, advising on data-driven transformation.
Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Aditya Saluja as Commercial Director, mSpa & Wellness, as part of the group’s strategy to strengthen the wellness offering across its properties. He previously led Commercial Strategy at The Farm at San Benito, part of the Marriott Autograph Collection.
Marriott International has appointed Swen Ehlender as Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for the group’s luxury portfolio across The Red Sea and AMAALA in Saudi Arabia. He brings over 20 years of experience to the role and joins from the Four Seasons Hotel, Riyadh, where he served as Commercial Director.
Charlene Tan has been promoted by IHG Hotels & Resorts to the role of Director, Corporate Affairs, Southeast Asia and Korea, after more than five years of leading communications for the region in her previous role as Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs.
Capella Hotel Group has named Christian Westbeld as Regional General Manager, Southeast Asia, overseeing Capella, Singapore, Capella Ubud and Capella Hanoi. He joins from Raffles, Singapore where he held the role of Managing Director.
Andrew Moore has taken the role of Managing Director for Rosewood, Phnom Penh. He joins from Waldorf Astoria Osaka where he most recently led the pre-opening and the launch of the hotel.
Vail Resorts has named Chuck Randles as the new Vice President and General Manager for Hunter Mountain, New York. Most recently he held the role of General Manager for Wilmot Mountain alongside Mount Brighton, Hidden Valley and Snow Creek.
Fernando Gibaja has joined Omni Hotels & Resorts as General Manager for Omni, Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita, the brand’s first luxury resort in Mexico., He most recently served as General Manager of the St Regis, Punta Mita Resort.
Audra Arul has been named as the new Director of Sales & Marketing at Sheraton, Maldives. Audra joins from The St, Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort in Oman where she held the role of Director of Sales & Distribution.
