Tamer Khedr has been appointed to the newly created role of Managing Director, Egypt at Minor Hotels, reflecting the group’s focus on its expansion into one of its significant emerging markets. Tamer prevously served as CEO at DO hotels and has also previously worked with Emaar Hospitality Group and Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
Accor has announced the promotion of Balvinder Sahrawat to the role of Vice President, Development, South Asia. He has been with the group for 17 years, holding roles across real estate development, hospitality operations and development.
Edouard Grosmangin has been promoted to the role of Regional Vice President, Mexico & South America at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts from his previous position as Managing Director of Rosewood, Sao Paulo where he has been since 2022, playing a pivotal role in the success of the renowned property.
BWH Hotels has appointed Torin Beeler as Managing Director of Corporate Travel for Worldwide Sales, leading the global corporate travel sales strategy for the group. He brings extensive experience in hospitality sales to the role, previously working with Choice Hotels and IHG.
Sander Looijen has been appointed to the role of Market Vice President for Vietnam at Marriott International. Sander was most recently Area General Manager for Bali for the group, overseeing a portfolio of 22 hotels and resorts.
Australian-based Trilogy Hotels has named Benjamin Nesbitt as Director of Operations. He most recently served as Precinct General Manager for Accor’s Sydney Olympic Park Hotels, overseeing the Pullman, Novotel and Ibis properties.
Joe Masi has joined Davidson Hospitality Group as Senior Vice President of Operations. He brings over 35 years of experience to the role, previously holding the role of Executive Vice President of Operations at Remington Hotels.
Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Kanruethai Roongruang to the role of General Manager for Avani+ Hua Hin Resort n Bangkok. Most recently she served as CEO of Island Escape Burasari and Burasari Residences in Phuket.
Jacco van Teeffelen has been appointed as Managing Director of The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa. He joins from Fairmont Hotels & Resorts where he most recently held the role of General Manager for Fairmont, Mayakoba.
Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Oscar Abril Bonthuis as Director of Food & Beverage for the Four Seasons Hotel, Osaka. Oscar joins from the group’s Macao property where he held the same role.
