Simon Casson has announced that he is to step down from his role as Chief Executive Officer at Corinthia Hotels after two years in the role. As part of a planned transition, he will remain involved in the business in an advisory capacity as Senior Strategic Advisor from April 2026.
United Hospitality Management has announced the promotion of Klaus Assmann to the role of Chief Executive Officer for Middle East, India and South East Asia just nine months after he joined the group as Chief Operating Officer. Klaus has nearly 40 years of international hospitality experience, previously working with brands including Fairmont, Sofitel and Jumeirah.
Charlotte Bernin has been promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa at Club Med , succeeding Anne Browaeys who has left to pursue new career opportunities. Charlotte has been with the group since 2009, and has served as Director of the France and Northern Europe Markets since 2024.
Mina Li has joined Hyatt Hotels as Regional Vice President and Country Manager for Hyatt Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Mina has extensive experience in hospitality real estate management and previously founded IAM Advisory, assisting clients in capital raising, development planning and investment analytics across Asia Pacific.
Accor has announced the appointment of Leire Leoz as Director of Franchises for the Premium, Midscale and Economy division. Most recently she served as Vice President of Owner and Partner Relations for EMEA at Marriott International.
Alice Harrington-Caravello has been named as the new Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Commercial Services for the Americas at Hyatt Hotels International . She previously held the role of Vice President, Account Sales & National Group Sales for Marriott International.
Concord Hospitality has announced the promotion of Helene Okabe to the role of Senior Vice President of Business Development. She has been with the group for over a decade, playing a key role in several strategic initiatives.
Heather Stege has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer at Peregrine Hospitality . She most recently served as Brand President with responsibility for the Arby’s brand at KBP Inspired.
IHG Hotels & Resorts have named Dany El Mahgiub as the new Complex General Manager for Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort, Vignette Collection and Wyndham Residences, The Palm. He joins from Fairmont, The Palm where he held the role of Director of Operations.
Patricia Alvarez has joined W, Punta Cana as the new Director of Sales & Marketing. The newly opened resort is the first all-inclusive property in the W brand, part of Marriott’s luxury portfolio. Patricia joined Marriott’s all-inclusive division in 2024 and has previously held leadership roles for Karisma Hotels & Resorts, AM Resorts and Melia Hotels International.
