Mandarin Oriental has announced the appointments of Philippe Kronberg as General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park, London and Associate Vice President, Operations across Mandarin Oriental, Mayfair, Mandarin Oriental, Paris, Mandarin Oriental, Lutetia and Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium, Amsterdam. Philippe brings more than 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality to the role and joins from Shangri-La where he held the role of Resort General Manager in Muscat, Oman.
Paul Jackson has also been appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and Area Vice President, Operations, overseeing properties in Hong Kong, Macau, Tokyo and the upcoming Mandarin Oriental, Manila. Paul’s previous career includes positions with Claridge’s in London, and earlier service with the Royal Household in the UK. He most recently served as General Manager for Capella Hotels & Resorts.
Dean Bannon has been promoted by The Leading Hotels of the World to the role of Vice President, Member Success & Development from his previous position as Managing Director, EMEA. He will be relocating from London to New York to lead the group’s global relationship management teams across the portfolio of over 425 independent luxury hotels in more than 80 countries.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Mohamad Haj Hassan to the role of Market Managing Director, Middle East & Africa. He joined the group two years ago, most recently serving as Company Director, Saudi Arabia, playing a key role in supporting development in the Kingdom.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Mark Sergot as the new Chief Development Officer for the Americas. Mark joined the group in 2020 and since 2022 has held the role of Senior Vice President of Global Sales.
Belmond has announced the appointment of Steve Mitchell to the role of Managing Director, Global Lodges. Steve previously co-founded Angama and served as CEO, over his 12 year tenure leading the business from start-up to renowned African safari brand.
Mark Fraioli has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Concord Hospitality . He brings over 20 years of hospitality and real estate experience to the role, previously serving as Managing Director at Peregrine Hospitality.
Sakshi Sehdev Dogra has taken the role of Area Director of Marketing & Communications, South Asia for Radisson Hotel Group . Prior to joining Radisson, she held the role of Head of Sales & Marketing, Eurasia at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
Rosewood has announced that James Tattersall has been appointed Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing for Northern California. James bring deep expertise in brand positioning and commercial growth, previously holding roles with Four Seasons and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Sharad Sharma has been appointed as Director of Sales for ZANA Luxury Resorts and Country Inn Hotels & Resorts, part of the Indian-based hotel operator Espire Hospitality . He brings over 24 years of experience to the role, having held senior positions with brands including Radisson, Sarovar and Wyndham.
Minor Hotels has appointed Anup Mathur to the newly created role of Account Director, India. He brings more than 17 years of experience in hospitality sales and previously held the role of Account Director, Global Sales at Marriott.
Baillie Lodges and Tierra Hotels have together announced key senior management appointments including; Stephen Marshall who has taken the newly created role of Vice President, Global Sales. Zach Sennett has been appointed Vice President, Operations, Americas with special focus on Canada’s Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge and Chile’s Tierra Atacama and Tierra Patagonia. Chief Financial Officer, Alex Cameron has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial & Development Officer.
Sarovar Hotels has announced the promotion of Mielle Batliwala to the role of Vice President, Human Resources for the group from her previous position as Assistant Vice President, Human Resources which she has held since 2023.
Tetyana Mykhaylyuk has joined Hard Rock Hotel, New York as the new Director of Restaurants. She brings more than 15 years of F&B experience to the role, and most recently served as General Manager for Merchants Hospitality.
Saloni Mehta has been appointed Director of People & Culture for the Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi . She joins from the Marriott Hotel, Al Forsan where she held the role of Director of HR.
Sayed Wali Shah has joined the Shangri-La, Jeddah as the new Director of Sales & Marketing. His most recent position was as Director of Sales & Marketing for the Hyatt Regency, Riyadh.
